Who We Are
LIA Blue Wings (LIABW) is the aviation ministry of Life in Abundance International (LIA), established to overcome one of the greatest barriers to transformational development – access. Across much of Eastern, Central, and the Horn of Africa, poor infrastructure, difficult terrain, conflict, disasters, and vast distances isolate millions of people from essential services. These same barriers often limit the ability of humanitarian organizations, churches, governments, and development partners to respond quickly and effectively.
LIABW exists to bridge that gap.
Using safe, reliable, and professionally managed aviation services, we connect people, resources, and hope with communities that are otherwise difficult to reach. Every flight contributes to extending healthcare, humanitarian assistance, disaster response, community development, church ministry, and economic opportunity to places where aviation is not simply convenient – it is essential.
Operating our Cessna Caravan aircraft through strategic aviation partnerships and supported by a growing team of committed aviation professionals, we provide passenger and cargo charter services, humanitarian air transport, medical evacuation support, aerial logistics, and other specialized aviation services across the region.
Our Story
LIA Blue Wings began as a bold expression of Life in Abundance’s commitment to reach the remotely isolated poor and vulnerable.
What began with a single aircraft has grown into an emerging regional aviation ministry serving organizations and communities throughout Eastern Africa. As we enter a new decade of ministry, we believe God is calling LIABW into a season of greater influence, deeper partnerships, and expanded service.
Our recently adopted Ten-Year Strategic Plan envisions LIABW growing from a single-aircraft operation into a sustainable regional Christian aviation ministry serving Eastern, Central, and Southern Africa, with a long-term vision of extending our reach wherever God opens doors.
We see aviation not simply as transportation, but as a ministry of presence—bringing hope where there is isolation, responding where there is need, and enabling transformation where access has long been a barrier.

Our mission is rooted in the conviction that aviation can become a tangible expression of Christ’s compassion. We believe every flight represents an opportunity to serve people with dignity, strengthencommunities, empower ministries, and create access where none previously existed. Whether transporting humanitarian workers, supporting emergency response, carrying medical supplies, facilitating development programmes, or operating commercial flights that sustain our ministry, we remain committed to one purpose: Flying to Serve.

LEADERSHIP
LIA Blue Wings is governed by its Board of Directors as the aviation ministry of Life in Abundance International.
Strategic oversight is provided through the Chief Executive Officer of Life in Abundance International, while day-to-day executive leadership is entrusted to the Operations Manager (Accountable Manager), who is responsible for the ministry’s operational leadership, safety,
regulatory compliance, organizational performance, and strategic implementation.
Supported by a dedicated team of aviation professionals and trusted partners, the Operations Manager ensures that every aspect of LIABW reflects the highest standards of safety, professionalism, stewardship, and Christian witness.
Our Partnerships
Our Mission aviation is built on partnership. Our AOC and 5Y-LIA have become more than an aviation company and an aircraft. They have become trusted platforms for coordinated humanitarian and mission work. They are a lifeline for communities in Kenya, South Sudan, Uganda and DRC.
LIA Blue Wings collaborates with aviation regulators, approved maintenance organizations, aviation professionals, churches, humanitarian organizations, development agencies, donors, foundations, and like-minded Christian aviation ministries to extend our collective impact.
LIABW has collaborated with 15+ strategic partners including NGOs, faith-based organizations, UN agencies, and hospitals. The impact achieved to date is the direct result of partnership. Aviation multiplies the reach of every partner. What would take days by road is accomplished in hours by air.
Operationally, we currently partner with Flex Air Charters for Air Operator Certificate (AOC) services and with an approved Kenyan Aircraft Maintenance Organization (AMO) for aircraft maintenance and continuing airworthiness support.
These strategic relationships enable LIABW to maintain the highest standards of aviation safety, regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and responsible stewardship while expanding our capacity to serve.
As our ministry grows, we continue to cultivate partnerships that strengthen our ability to reach the remotely isolated poor and vulnerable throughout Africa.
